What Is Permanent Jewellery?
Permanent jewellery is a chain fitted to your wrist, ankle or neck and joined with a small weld instead of a clasp. It's made to be worn every day.
Permanent doesn't mean forever. Pieces can come off and be welded back on whenever you need, for an MRI scan or surgery, or if a chain breaks.

Metals: stainless steel, 925 sterling silver and gold-filled. Gold-filled pieces are gold-filled, not solid gold. Necklaces are priced at the charm bar below and by design in the shop, so ask if you are unsure.
Booking and Walk-ins
- Walk-ins are welcome during opening hours.
- Booking holds your slot. A £15 deposit per person comes off the price of your piece.
- Deposits are non-refundable. Need a new date? Message us and we'll always try to fit you in.
- Need a day we're closed for a special occasion, or because of working hours? Get in touch and we can arrange it.
Questions People Ask
Do I need to book?
Walk-ins are welcome. Booking holds your slot, which is handy for weekends, gifts and groups. A £15 deposit per person is taken when you book and comes off the price of your piece. Deposits are non-refundable, but if you need to change your date, message us and we will always try to fit you in.
How long does it take?
Your piece is custom fitted in as little as 10 minutes. Choosing charms or coming as a group can take a little longer.
How much does it cost?
Bracelets are £20 to £25 in stainless steel, £30 in 925 sterling silver and £40 in gold-filled. Anklets are £30 to £35, £45 and £55, and rings are £10 to £15. Hand chains vary with the design. Charms or connectors are usually around £10 each.
Does it hurt?
Most people find it comfortable. We weld the chain, not your skin, and a piece of leather protects your skin while we work.
Can I wear it in the shower, the sea and in bed?
Yes. Our pieces are made for everyday life, so you can shower, swim, sleep and work out in them. A little care keeps them looking lovely: rinse and dry after the sea, a pool or a hot tub. Sterling silver can darken over time.
What about an MRI scan or surgery?
Book our removal and reweld service. We take your piece off, and weld it back on when you're ready. It's £15 and the price covers both the removal and the reweld later.
What if it breaks?
Had your piece fitted somewhere else and it's come apart? We can fix it for £15. If we fitted it and it has broken, we'll fix it for free, so just pop in.
Can I take it off?
Yes. Permanent jewellery can be removed and welded back on. That's what our removal and reweld service is for.
Will it set off metal detectors when I fly?
No. Our pieces are fine to wear through airport security.
Is there an age limit?
There's no minimum age. If you are under 16, a parent or guardian needs to come with you and give their consent.
I'm pregnant. Can I get a piece fitted?
Yes, but please tell us. Hands, wrists and ankles can swell during pregnancy, so we can fit your piece with extra room, and we can take it off for you if it ever gets tight.
I have a pacemaker or another implanted device.
Please check with your doctor or cardiac team before you book, and tell us when you arrive. Welding uses a small electric arc, and NHS guidance for pacemaker wearers says to keep away from strong magnetic fields such as spot and arc welding. We would rather check first than risk it.
